I have had the opportunity to do CoachU and Georgetown’s coaching programs. They were both great and I learned a lot. That said, what Michael is doing here is phenomenal and like nothing else out there. I love coaching from the principles- the place from where real sustainable transformation takes place. I loved that the Academy provided me with such a diverse set of venues to enhance my learning and deepen my experience in some way – pod calls, the forum, master classes, live weekends with guest faculty, and the opportunity to connect with and learn from classmates on my own time. The SCA is a really well structured, clearly thought out programme that allows coaches of differing experience to access material, practice new skills and revive forgotten skills and knowledge in a very safe, enabling environment. There is no getting away from the fact that it is Michael that makes the Academy. Yes he brings great teachers and sets up a wonderful environment in a wonderful location. But without Michael’s presence it would be like any other (excellent) conference. For example, the Innate Health Conference brings great teachers together in one place but it doesn’t rock like SCA. Most enjoyable about the Academy was live weekends where you could meet with coaches and visiting coaches. An opportunity to ask a question and get an answer. The friendly atmosphere, the curriculum, the choice of the guests, the material, the opportunity to have an access to all the Academy resources and to speak with Michael Neill. Learned from Michael to be open, be honest, don’t be scared, to act from the unknown, in making other people feel happy, start with yourself. What is really meant by living from inside out, what is to love all and everything and you included if you happen to be on the way. Where to begin? I just know that on the 4 occasions I made the trek (24 hours from Australia to NYC) by the time I was at morning tea break, having listened to Michael share for the first part of the day, I knew the trip was worth it all, even if just for that one hour of learning from him!
