Mary Beth knows from first-hand experience what it is like to pursue your dreams. She was an investment banker for 24 years in New York, London, and Frankfurt before giving it all up in exchange for an idyllic lifestyle on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. She is now a Certified Transformative Coach from Michael Neill’s 2011 Supercoach Academy and divides her time between Andalusia and London.
Mary Beth earned a BA in German and Psychology before getting her MBA at Indiana University. With her fluency in German all roads seemed to lead from her Midwestern roots in Indiana and first position in New York City to Europe, where she has lived for the past 20 years. During her career in Corporate Banking, Mary Beth held senior positions at JP Morgan Chase, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Commerzbank.
She is no stranger to life’s struggles after her first marriage of 13 years to an alcoholic. She was the only wage-earner in the family for those years and knows what it is like to live with addiction and codependency. She was also made redundant twice in her career – something that shattered her confidence beyond belief – but she managed to come out the other side as a stronger person. She has since written a book called, “Strategies for Coping with Job Loss”.
While spending all those years as a banker, Mary Beth could never deny her unwavering passion for psychology and counseling. In her spare time, she earned qualifications in Life Coaching, NLP, and Counseling and finally decided to leave banking, move to Spain, run a restaurant with her 2nd husband and become a Coach. She is in the process of writing another book called, “From Billions to Bouganvillea”, which portrays this life transition.
Mary Beth says that she IS now truly living the life of her dreams with her loving and supportive 2nd husband of 13 years in sunny Spain. She is the type of person who rarely spends any time in front of the television, but is out line dancing, fly-fishing, at Zumba, walking her Labradors or out with friends (who regularly visit when you live in a warm climate!)
Mary Beth plans to attend Supercoach Academy’s Advanced Track in 2012 and pursue a certification in hypnotherapy.
